Schedule: Mon-Fri 9a-3p, 30 hours a week

TEC is recruiting for a part-time Payroll Tax Clerk for a Pittsfield payrolling company. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly filing and payment of federal and state taxes
• Monthly reconciliation and filing of state taxes
• Quarterly tax processing
• Generate Quarterly Tax Packages for Clients - corresponds with clients about any holds, adjustments etc
• Complete filing for federal and state taxes
• Reconcile tax accounts
• Year End processing
• Generate Year End Tax Packages for clients - corresponds with clients about any holds, adjustments etc
• Complete filing for federal and state taxes
• Reconcile tax accounts

• Corresponds with federal, state, and local tax agencies on behalf of clients to resolve problems
• Assist with new client set up for tax accounts including research and resolution for tax specific requirements in states other than MA , NY and CT
• Researches and resolves client and system problems to ensure accurate tax returns.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clients, agencies, and coworkers to promote a positive quality service image.

Requirements:

• Strong computer skills
• Experience working in an office environment
• Ability to solve simple math equations
