Consumer Loan Processor Position in Berkshire County

TEC is assisting a service organization in the recruitment of a skilled Consumer Loan Processor. The ideal candidate will have expertise in direct and indirect consumer lending, be forward-thinking, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process and validate all types of consumer loan applications, including direct loans and indirect loans originated through auto and recreational vehicle dealerships
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of loan documents and data entry in the loan origination system and core banking system
• Review loan applications and documentation for completeness, eligibility, and compliance with credit union policies
• Verify identity, income, employment, insurance, and collateral documentation
• Accurately enter and update loan information in the loan origination system and related platforms
• Identify and resolve incomplete or inaccurate application data by communicating with dealers or internal staff
• Ensure all required disclosures, rates, and terms are correctly applied and documented
• Monitor the pipeline to meet turnaround time standards and escalate delays when necessary
• Participate in audit in quality reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the loan process
• Assists in staff training and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications and Requirements/Preferences:

• 3+ years of relevant experience highly preferred
• High School Diploma required, associates or higher education preferred
• Must be analytical, detail-oriented, organized, motivated, and flexible
• Demonstrated customer service and written communications skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to use various types of office software
• Results driven and execution oriented
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
• Quick learner, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity
• Fluent in written and spoken English
