IT Helpdesk Administrator Job Opening in Berkshire County

Direct Hire Permanent

$18-$20/hr (depending on experience)

Position Summary:

The IT Helpdesk Administrator and Systems Administrator is responsible for the architecture, implementation of standards, and general health of client IT infrastructure on premise and Azure based. This role involves the regular evaluation of servers and networks. In addition, it will be essential to serve as a technical escalation point for service teams.


Essential Functions:

  • Regular execution of client technology assessments
  • Monthly client facing visits to conduct general infrastructure health checks, proactive maintenance, and address escalated tickets
  • Effective design and execution of complex technology projects
  • Installs, configures and maintains routers, switches, networks, Azure environments, servers, network cabling, other related equipment


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field or equivalent applicable work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Information Technology or related
  • 2 years of experience in Customer Service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Microsoft / CompTIA / VMWare Certifications preferred
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.


Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
