Machine Operator - Temp Job Opening in Berkshire County

Rate: $16/hour

Job Description:

The primary responsibility is to machine components in a CNC vertical machining center. The machine will be setup and ready to operate. The person in this position will load parts into a fixture, activate the cycle start button located on the operators’ CNC control panel, unload the parts when the cycle is complete, and repeat the process until the operation is complete

Job Duties:

• Maintain a safe working environment
• Following established rules and procedures
• Report any manufacturing anomalies to supervisor
• Perform basic quality checks (once properly trained)
• Clean and deburr parts as applicable
• Notify supervisor when tools need to be changed at pre-established intervals

Qualifications:

• Thorough attention to detail
• Physical coordination and dexterity
• Ability to work with others and on their own
• Good verbal communication skills
• Must be able to stand for long period of time to operate the machine

Hours/Pay:

• Mon-Fri: 7a - 3:30p (hrs flexible), some Saturdays possible
• $16/hr
• 3-4 month assignment
