Temporary Production Assembler Job Opening in Dalton, MA

Position Type: Temp 2 months (could be longer)

Pay: $17-19/hour

Hours: Preferred Mon – Thurs 6a – 4:30p, but hours can be flexible

Location:  Dalton, MA

Responsibilities include reviewing and adhering to instructions as you position parts manually or with machinery and basic hand tools. You’re expected to pay attention to detail, inspect final products for quality and overall ensure efficiency. Temporary job lasting 2-3 months

• Sort and count raw materials
• Assemble components by hand / tools
• Review products for quality and ensure they meet expectations
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Maintain inventory when inventory levels are low
• Minimize waste be conserving materials and resources
• Ability to handle fragile materials
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with your supervisors and teammates.
• Keep records of production quantities and time
• Report on issue, malfunction, or defective parts

Qualifications

• Good dexterity/fine motor controls
• Understand drawings
• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to pass a drug test/background check
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Comfortable sitting or standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Skilled in operating hand and power tools (clamps, riveter, laser)
• Strong attention to detail
• Respectfully take direction from supervisors, overall positive attitude
• Follow standard practices and procedures when directed
• Reliable and prompt in attendance
• Available to work overtime when needed
