Chief Technology Officer (CTO), SVP status 

Salary: $175k plus benefits

Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8a-4:30p

 

JOB SUMMARY

TEC Staffing Services is recruiting for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a Berkshire County Bank. The CTO is responsible for providing the strategic technology direction for the bank. This leader will lead and be accountable for improvements to core infrastructure, cloud services, unified communications, network services, servers and storage platforms, and service monitoring within the bank’s operations. They will assess the relative impact of IT industry trends on current and future enterprise infrastructure needs and projects. This leader will interface with business unit executives and various stakeholders to define infrastructure support initiatives to meet evolving technology solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness, developing talent and delivering consistent quality with a growth mindset.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides thought-leadership and vision regarding IT modernization, balancing investments in legacy technology and core operating functionality, while investing for the future to enable digital transformation and the agility to respond to evolving member-facing business requirements.
  • Propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software to improve IT processes and efficiencies.
  • Work with stakeholders across the bank to identify business and technology needs and optimize the use of information technology.
  • Maintains current industry knowledge and best practices in financial institution operations and technology/FinTech trends; makes recommendations that enhance service delivery, security, and/or efficiency.
  • Accountable for ongoing multiple vendor and 3rd party technical resources across managed service providers, and contractors. Review and optimize sourcing relationships for information technology roles and resources. Negotiate and handle vendor relationships to ensure acceptable service levels as well as influencing future enhancements of application and software functionality
  • Coaches and directs team in operational activities to ensure compliance with divisional and department goals, bank objectives, external regulations and compliance, and budgetary requirements
  • Analyzes and predicts trends and develops long-range plans designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise's IT infrastructure.
  • Oversees IT service management and has primary accountability for system availability. Leads Incident & Change Management and is responsible for the leading process, notifications, monitoring and recovery
  • Responsible for creating and managing the IT Infrastructure and Operations budget.
  • Effectively collaborates with the CFO/CEO to ensure IT projects are completed to budget, timelines, quality standards, and communicates risks and progress to business stakeholders.
  • Prepares and presents strategic visions and presentations to chief and board level audiences.
  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels and areas of organization.
  • Plan, staff, train, coach, mentor, and lead employees within the IT Operations Department.
  • Drives culture of continuous improvement to improve quality, efficiency, productivity and standards
  • Works closely with IT Information Security, compliance and privacy to set standards, operational processes, and policies
  • Responsible for all audit, compliance and regulatory adherence and resolution of all audit findings
  • Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • BS/BA in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Ten (10) or more years' experience in infrastructure, IT operations and IT service management leadership role
  • Experience directing a team in the design, deployment and managing enterprise technologies in a highly regulated institution
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technology trends within the financial services as it relates to IT operations, service, and availability
  • Proven product management or product development experience within the financial technology industry
  • Ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships
  • Working knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and bank operations
  • Proficient in successfully managing multiple, small to medium cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Ability to lead leaders, teams and staff through significant change, using influence, empathy, and collaboration.
  • Exceptional analytical, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop recommendations and successfully present information to executive audiences
  • Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity and a strong work ethic.
