Controller Finance Job Available in Pittsfield, MA

TEC is recruiting for a Controller for a large concrete manufacturing plant.

Position Summary:

As the Controller you will be responsible for promoting financial risk mitigation through establishment and enforcement of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. You will also oversee regulatory compliance filings, sales & use tax, payroll tax, and other tax filings. The controller will develop, maintain, and implement internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Leads Accounting department.
• Supervises monthly interim closings.
• Maintains full Balance Sheet account analysis.
• Maintains Cost Pools and Allocation Bases with contracts and manufacturing costs.
• Manages Accounts Payable disbursements.
• Oversees AIA billings and interface with AR subsidiary and GL.
• Maintains Manufacturing Management Systems transaction account sets, job cost, PO, AP, and General Journal interface.
• Maintains resource labor and overhear rates.
• Supervises weekly Paylocity Payrolls, maintains Earning and Deduction codes, and maintains Department Labor Distribution.
• Supervises Paylocity workforce management tools. Ensures available PR departments, Job Codes, PTO Accruals, Union workforce rules are maintained.
• Maintains ERP, MMS, and Paylocity Security profiles.
• Maintains ERP GL Account data.
• Collaborates with Project Cost Analyst.
• Manages collective bargaining, insurance audits and other compliance audits.
• Manages Year-End closings and Annual Audit.
• Collaborates with CFO to manage weekly and longer-term funding resources.
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5 plus years of accounting and finance experience
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Strong administrative and project management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong attention to detail
