Salary:  $40-45k

Schedule: Full Time w/ Benefits. Day Shift Mon-Fri, 4am until route is finished.

Location: Pittsfield

TEC Staffing is recruiting for a locally owned and operated company for CDL Route Drivers.

Position Summary:

The Route Delivery Drivers are responsible for transporting and delivering dairy products to our clients in a timely fashion. Our Route drivers represent the face of the company to our customers. Having a neat and kept appearance and a positive attitude are a must.
 

Route Driver Responsibilities:

• Route Drivers represent the face of the company to our customers. A neat appearance and courteous attitude toward customers and fellow employees are a must. A willingness to solve problems as they arise is also required, as customers often have issues that need to be addressed at the point of delivery. Good communication with management and office staff regarding any changes to delivery routes or customer needs is also a high priority.
• Arrive prepared for work by 4:00am in uniform (unless told otherwise)
• Prepare truck for route (Check load, Pre-trip truck)
• Organize delivery tickets and any special assignments or pick-ups
   
  

Physical Requirements:

• Being comfortable driving and learning to drive a heavier/bigger truck
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and push/pull 250 pounds
• Ability to climb in and out of the cab and cargo areas of the delivery vehicle, repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to work outdoors throughout the year and tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
   
  

Licensure and Skills Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Ability to learn driving directions and follow instruction
• A copy of clean driving record from the RMV
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers and customers
