Manifesting Your Next Job Opportunity

Manifesting You Next Job Opportunity in Berkshire County

“The art, act, or process of taking something hoped for and bringing it to life” – this definition of manifesting seems too good to be true... right? Well, positive psychology experts across the world have been speaking nonstop about this new buzz word that has been brought to the forefront of people’s minds.

Positive psychology within itself is fascinating. But focusing on the art of manifestation is something in and of itself. There are various videos of motivational speakers talking about this phenomenon, but how can you tell if it really works? – You can put it to the test. Try it with smaller “wishes” first. Maybe start with thinking that you will have a good day. Say it out loud. Say it in the mirror “I will have a good day”. More than likely, you will have a good day that day. Continue throughout the morning, afternoon, nighttime saying to yourself “I’m having a good day”. You will feel yourself smiling more and you will feel happier than you would feel if you weren’t doing this.

Of course, it’s not just about what you say to yourself, but it’s about what your actions and what you consciously choose to do. If you are convincing yourself you will have a good day, you need to do the things you would do to have a good day. If a good day for you is waking up and smiling, talking to your friend, going for a walk, holding the door open for a stranger, etc. – you will do all of that. You will figure out what makes you happy and check those items off the list every day to make sure every day is a good day.

Now you may be thinking “what does having a good day have to do with job searching?”. Pretty simple actually: take the above advice and apply it to the job search setting. If you see an opportunity you feel fits your experience and what you are looking for, say to yourself “I will apply”. Motivate yourself to apply. That is the first step. After you apply, you will do all you can to say “I will get an interview”. So, do what you can to get an interview. Follow up with the employer. Show them you care and you want a chance to prove yourself. If you get the interview, you can say to yourself “I will kill this interview”. Take the steps necessary to feel confident in your interview *cough – the previous blog post may or may not go over multiple ways to ace an interview – cough*. And maybe, just maybe, the job could be yours. Because you believed it would be true and manifested that outcome.

We here at TEC talk about manifesting the right outcomes all of the time. We say “Please let whatever is supposed to happen, happen”. And 99% of the time, the things we wanted to happen, happen. Because we work for it and put it out into the universe.

The point is – if you want something bad enough, you will do what needs to be done to achieve that goal. And manifestation is a part of that process. Manifesting is part of your self-motivation. But putting it out there: saying it, believing it, and committing to it – it’s a pretty incredible thing. We aren’t saying people are ~magic~, but we are definitely saying to give it a try.

Good luck and go forth job seekers!
