Senior Business Analyst Job in Berkshire County

Salary:  $120k - $175k plus benefits

Job Overview: 

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support their mission to improve the quality of life in the Berkshires by generating impactful business investments, visible real estate projects, and broad community development efforts.  The Senior Business Analyst will support generating new deal flow and performing due diligence on future investments, along with ongoing performance evaluation. 



The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in investment performance measurement, critical investment recommendations and decision making, and in expanding our investment portfolio monetarily and geographically.  This position reports to the Chairman.

Responsibilities: 

• Evaluate and execute on investment opportunities by providing analytical support to the team across all asset classes and markets. This includes preparing financial models and valuations utilizing Excel 
• Conduct in-depth market/property research and summarize information to support underwriting assumptions 
• Proactively seek out investment opportunities that align with company and financial goals 
• Complete due diligence and closing processes by working closely with finance, property management, development, legal, and accounting. Tasks include coordinating departments and third-party consultants, travel/property inspections, formulating business plans, completing lease reviews, compiling and synthesizing market information 
• Assemble information on investment opportunities and prepare written evaluations for use in underwriting and Investment Committee packages
• Support deal pipeline expansion 
• Serve in Chief of Staff role to Company Chairman for business evaluation 
• Prepare ad hoc analysis, documentation, and briefs for review by senior team members 
• Assist with organizing, refining, and implementing the valuation process
• Be a resource to internal operating business management to evaluate proposals, ideas, and new business models 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree / MBA preferred 
• 2-7 years of relevant experience in business operations, commercial real estate, investment banking, or financial operations 
• Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel 
• Superior writing, communication, and presentation skills 
• Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data from a variety of sources
