Temporary Accountant/Financial Analyst Job in Sheffield, MA

Salary: $20/hr - $25/hr DOE

Location: Sheffield

TEC is recruiting to help staff a temporary Accountant/Finance Analyst to assist a local non-profit during the busy year-end season.

• 20+ hours/week for 3-6 months (hours/days flexible)
• Accounting, audit or financial analysis experience desired 
• Quick learner required 
• Rate: $20-25+ an hour plus some part-time benefits 
• In-person and remote work will be considered 

Work activities to include:

• Accounting: Preparation of 1099 data from two sources and running reports in 1099 software program 
• Account analysis and review of transactions for consistency 
• Entry of some GL transactions 
• Completion of some bank reconciliations 
• Entry of monthly investment information 
• Reconciliation of differences between legacy database and current database 

Community Suite Database: 

• Review of individual fund settings 
• Reset spendable field to 0 for non-endowed and FCH funds 
• Entry of 2023 budget information – using 2022 actuals by month 
• Closing of all historical unused GL accounts 
• Updating account descriptions 
• Creation of financial reports using drop down-menus 
• Simplify balance swap process to use CS reports for bank transfer instructions 

Audit and 990 Preparations: 

• Collecting documents for 2022 Audit and 990 Filings 
• Preparing analyses for Net asset audit footnotes for 2021 and 2022 
• Compiling 990 Grants over $5,000 listings 
• Assemble data for Investment reconciliations
