VP Commercial Loan Officer Job Available in Berkshire County

Salary: $100k - $140k

Schedule: 8:30a - 4:30p

 

JOB SUMMARY

TEC is recruiting for a Berkshire County Bank to find a VP of Commercial Lending. This position reports to the SVP Commercial Lending Manager. The VP Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for originating, managing and supervising a portfolio of commercial real estate and non-real estate lending, with an overall objective of maintaining and increasing its asset quality; to develop new and maintain existing business relationships. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze credit applications, financial statements, tax returns and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank.
  • Interviews applicants for commercial loans and recommends approval within the established bank policies.
  • Manages, supervises, and grows portfolios. Develops and maintains existing customer base and builds customer satisfaction and confidence in the Bank.
  • Make recommendations on new and renewal loans for amounts above lending limit.
  • Packages loans and recommends loan terms and conditions.
  • Manages large or complex commercial loans as needed, and counsels loan customers on loan management and beneficial financial strategies.
  • Directs and implements business development activities, such as customer calls on prospects.
  • Maintains and enhances information based on local and national economics, as well as other concerns that would impact the financial institution’s lending activities.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Makes recommendations to management on product improvements or changes.
  • Oversees and recommends upgrades and improvements to financial institution policies and procedures. Ensures that any changes are implemented.
  • Participates as a member of various Bank committees as assigned.
  • Represents the Bank and provide leadership in key community activities and committees. Participate in professional associations; attend conventions, conferences and seminars
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field and/or 10 years’ experience in commercial lending or similar financial institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, management, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organizational and public relations skills.
