Appliance Service Technician Job in Lee, MA

Schedule:  Mon-Fri., 40-45 hrs a week (OT and 1x month rotating schedule for on-call)

Our Lee based client is hiring an Appliance Service Technician to service commercial and residential accounts in Berkshire County.

Responsibilities:

• Connecting water and gas lines and use of common hand tools as well as soldering guns, and brazing torches
• Visually inspect appliances, and check for unusual noises, excessive vibration, fluid leaks, and loose parts to determine why the appliances fail to operate properly
• Use service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and experience to diagnose difficult problems.  Read schematics, follow wiring diagrams, and use testing devices such as amp meters, volt meters, and watt meter's to check electrical systems for shorts and faulty connections
• Use fundamentals of refrigeration to repair refrigerators and window air-conditioners, and to give correct diagnostic appraisal
• Repairing appliances with electronic parts, replace circuit boards or other electronic components
• Installation and troubleshooting washers, dryers, ranges, D.W. and Residential refrigeration.  Technicians must conserve, recover, and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants used in cooling systems
• Instruct customers how to operate the appliances properly

Requirements as follows:

• Knowledge of appliances and their components
• Knowledge of fundamental electricity is essential
• Will be required to be able to troubleshoot washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, and residential refrigeration and make their repairs 
• High School Diploma required
• Excellent customer interpersonal skills
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record are a must
• CORI/security check, and drug testing prior to hire required
• Our service area is Berkshire County, Massachusetts
• Formal training is available and will be required throughout employment
