Camp Kitchen Assistant Job Available in Becket, MA
Summer Opportunity
Schedule: Hours are flexible between 6AM – 7PM
Pay: $15-$17/HR
TEC is recruiting for a local camp in the Berkshires.
Position Summary:
As the Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Food Service Department prepare meals for the campers and assist with general kitchen duties.
Responsibilities:
- Meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and meet health and sanitation requirements
- Maintain the Beverage Bar area
- Package and store food as necessary
- Assist with washing dishes as necessary
- Sweep and mop kitchen area as necessary
- Assist food department with other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Must be comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, leaning, and walking
- Experience in food service industry is a plus
- Excellent communication skills

The basic purpose of this position is to operate the carbonating and slaking systems and related equipment used to produce PCC and GCC products.
Responsibilities include reviewing and adhering to instructions as you position parts manually or with machinery and basic hand tools.
