Chief Executive Officer Job for a Non-Profit in Berkshire County, MA

Salary: $120k - $175k plus benefits

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-4:30


TEC Staffing Services is recruiting for our client that is a 501c 3 organization that serves people (children, adults, families) with all types of disabilities.

 

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the successful execution of all programs and contracts, strategy and business development, marketing, fundraising, and community relations. The Chief Executive Office reports to a Board of Directors, who are ultimately accountable for strategic and financial management of the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and fosters relationships at the regional, state and local level in order to develop strategic plans for the organization consistent with its mission.
  • Ensures that all programs and functions operate in compliance with rules, regulations and standards applicable to the on-going operations of the organization including all relevant funding sources.
  • Provides oversight for the development and execution of a continual fund-raising program including grant writing.
  • Seeks to secure planned giving opportunities to fund the endowment
  • Leads performance management of senior leadership team including leadership development, training, and developmental coaching and feedback. 
  • Serves as the organization’s spokesperson and maintains productive relationships with other agencies, governmental entities, community, key business partners, Board members, media and families of organization’s clients.
  • Schedules, plans, prepares for and attends all Board and Committee meetings and maintains records of those meetings.
  • Provides comprehensive, accurate and timely information to the Board and develops policies and procedures for Board consideration and adoption.
  • Actively recruits volunteers to serve as Board members and orients them to the organization.
  • Ensures that funds are disbursed in accordance with contract requirements and donor designations.
  • Oversees the personnel policies and practices of the organization.
  • Oversees the execution of the standards associated with national certification (Council on Accreditation)
  • Helps the board develop and oversees the completion of the agency’s long range/strategic plan including identifying business development opportunities consistent with the agency’s long-range plan.
  • Works with marketing department to execute marketing plan
  • Works with legislators to advocate for issues consistent with agency values

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated successful program management, fund-raising and grant-writing in a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence capability
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Strong financial skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Service or related field, Masters or equivalent preferred
  • 10 years experience in case management, advocacy or related work, with a significant portion in non-profit organization(s)
  • 5 years in leadership roles in a moderately complex environment
