Pay: $19/hour+ depending on experience

TEC is helping a local medical office find a Medical Records Clerk. This person will be in charge of handling patient and medical records in a professional manner and all other tasks along with managing this sensitive information. 

Job Duties:

• Handling of medical records requests for patients or outside providers
• Handling of medical records requests from attorneys, preparing certified billing statements for attorneys
• Completing disability forms for patients such as FMLA forms
• Reviewing daily visit records in the EMR for any discrepancies in the record and sending tasks to providers 
• Faxing daily visit records to primary care and referring providers
• Position requires attention to detail, following all HIPAA guidelines, making sure that releases are properly signed, etc.
• Perform excellent customer service in person, over the phone and potential emails
• Maintain strict confidentiality

Preferences/Requirements:

• Basic office skills required: data entry, good communication, excellent phone etiquette, time management, etc.
• Ability to work independently and take direction required 
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Excellent customer service required
• Ability to be a great team member required
• At least 2 Years Medical Records experience preferred
• Experience with healthcare specific software systems
