NC Programmer/CNC Machinist Job Opening in Berkshire, MA

Job Title:  NC Programmer/CNC Machinist

Salary: $25/hr - $35/hr, DOE

Hours: Mon-Thursday 6am – 4:30pm

Job Type:  Temporary to Permanent

Essential Job Functions:

• Set up and operate HAAS CNC Mill and Lathes , Bridgeport machining center
• Manufacturing of machined parts
• Working knowledge of CAD modeling and translation to CAM system
• Provide manufacturing NC programs as required
• Develop methods and design manufacturing support fixtures for all Armor Systems product lines as required.
• Selection of tools to support manufacturing process
• Ability to read and understand 2D drawings

Required Experience:

• Five plus (5+) years of manufacturing experience utilizing 2D and 3D solid modeling
• Broad range of mechanical component knowledge and manufacturing processes
• Welding experience a plus, but not required

Education:

• Candidate should have High School or technical school diploma

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

• A working knowledge of SolidWorks and CamWorks (or equivalent) is required and the ability to utilize standard office programs
• Must enjoy working with hands and be able to translate ideas into working product
• Must be creative and inventive
• Use repetitive motion
