Quality Inspector Job Berkshire County

Salary:  $38k - $68k, DOE

Schedule: Mon-Fri. 7a-3p

Temp to Hire and Direct Hire for the Right Candidate


Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections by written procedures, statistical sampling plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform a wide range of complex or precision inspection procedures to determine quality levels of incoming parts or products at various stages in production, including final acceptance.
  • Initiate NCMRs for non-conforming materials/products
  • Maintain and operate inspection and test equipment (e.g., OGP, micrometer, caliper, pin gages, microscope, math, etc.)
  • Provide input to the Quality Manager regarding inspection methods, quality procedures, and sampling plans.
  • Assist in the analysis and reporting of Excel data.
  • Provide technical quality support to the Manufacturing/Operations engineer(s) as approved by the Quality manager.
  • Ensure the traceability of components and products is maintained at every inspection point.
  • Document, file, and maintain all inspection documents.
  • Create documents in the Quality System, such as Final logs, forms, and standard operating procedures, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for implementing hold tags if needed.
  • Execute other quality projects and non-routine duties as assigned by the QA manager.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications, inspection sampling plans, and dimensional/visual inspection equipment (will train the right person)
  • Ability to read English and comprehend verbal and written instructions, including technical and safety information.
  • Good verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with a team-minded approach to achieve individual and company success.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System
  • Three years’ experience minimum in manufacturing setting (required)


Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
