Senior Human Resources Generalist Job Available in Berkshire County

Salary: $65,000

TEC is recruiting for a Senior HR Generalist within a unionized transportation company. In this role, you will be responsible for performing employee relations and business functions for the organization. The right candidate will provide oversight in human resources, recruitment, training, purchasing, and financial oversight.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the talent acquisition process.
  • Develop, perform, and document proper and complete training for all company personnel (including instructing and scheduling).                                             
  • Manage company insurances such as health and welfare, workers comp, PFMLA, etc.
  • Manage and assist in the company pay and payroll practices.
  • Analyze data and make financial recommendations to benefit the overall efficiency of the company.
  • Directs special projects involving the analysis of data, the collection of information from a variety of sources and the identification or areas of concern. Makes recommendations for cost savings, administrative efficiency, and other improvements.
  • Act as the primary employee benefits administrator for retirement and insurance programs. Evaluate and update practices or programs as needed.
  • Manage and direct company leave programs such as PFMLA and other programs.
  • Pursue a well-documented and ethical financial culture within the organizations consistent with the handling of public monies.
  • Responsible for performing end of the month functions including reconciling all liability and cash accounts at least monthly, analyzing financial statements, making corrections, and providing variance explanations.
  • Maintain employment files, hiring/onboarding paperwork, benefit administration, and all other documents associated with employment or operations.
  • Participate in development, direction, maintenance, and compliance of policy and procedure manuals.
  • Assist with union relations and negotiations.
  • Assist with annual audits and other compliance practices.
  • Other duties as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and/or 3 years of equivalent experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and QuickBooks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a problem-solver
  • Efficient HR administration and management skills
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
