Schedule: Mon-Thu 6AM-4:30PM

TEC Staffing Services is recruiting for a local metal assembly business in Dalton, MA. This is for a temporary position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding on various metals (steel, aluminum, and stainless steel) using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
• Responsible for assembling pieces of metal together and/or repairing metal components using heavy machinery
• Ability to read blueprints; Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion
• Cut metal into the appropriate forms by employing furnaces or hand torches to heat up materials to make them more flexible for bending or manipulation into the correct specification
• Ensure quality specifications are met

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience welding (at least 2 years)
• High school diploma or a GED equivalent
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment such as TIG, MIG & Stick
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
• High attention to detail
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more
