Quality Assurance Inspector B Job in Berkshire County
Salary: $16.50
Schedule: Mon-Thurs. 6a-3:30p, Friday 6a-10a
Job Summary
Provides inspection and testing of components and assemblies to assure conformance of product to established guidelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Performs testing of products manufactured and outside sources as applicable.
- Utilizes computerized testing equipment and various other testing/measuring devices to verify that all product is manufactured to customer specifications and company quality criteria.
- Performs internal audits to the ISO 9001 standard.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area at all times.
- Reports and documents time worked accurately.
- Follows prescribed static ESD protection program at all times.
- Performs ESD testing on mobile shelf, work surface and soldering irons.
- Communicates effectively and works closely with fellow associates.
- Arrives to work station promptly and works overtime as required.
- Adherence to company annual goals and KPI’s as set forth by management.
- Perform additional task as needed.
Education and/or Experience
High School Graduate or GED
18-months electronics or quality assurance-related experience.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: IPC 610 or must obtain within 6 months of hire & maintain.
Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of PC operations
Basic word processing and spreadsheet software knowledge required.
